Suspects Steal Items from Vehicle
Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for anyone with information leading to an arrest in a recent theft from a motor vehicle in the parking of the Walmart located at 1315 N. 21st St. in Newark.
The Newark Division of Police reports on Feb. 4, around 9 pm, an unidentified white female wearing a red jacket exited the passenger side of a 1998 silver/gold Honda Civic. The female suspect stole items from the victim’s Chevrolet Trailblazer, which was parked next to the suspect’s vehicle.
A second female suspect, who was the driver of the Honda Civic, entered Walmart and purchased various items before returning to the parking lot and entering the victim’s vehicle as well.
The driver is described as a white female between 20-30 years of age, heavier build, approximately 5’2”-5’5” tall, and dark hair. She was wearing a black long sleeve shirt, leggings, and black boots.
After the theft, both female suspects left the Walmart parking lot, and pulled into the nearby Murphy USA gas station located at 1395 North 21st Street in Newark. The female driver, while purchasing gas station items, yelled to the female passenger by her name which is “Adrian.” The suspects then left in the Honda Civic traveling northbound to Goose Pond Road.
The items listed below were taken from the victim’s vehicle:
- One Hewlett-Packard Beats series red/black touchscreen laptop.
- One Garmin Navigator series touchscreen GPS.
- One Apple iPhone with the victim’s name and date of birth engraved on the side.
- Other miscellaneous item.
