Tales From the Twilight Zone

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Twilight Zone was a popular television show in the 1960s that twisted thought provoking tales with reality.
Ohio Author Mark Dawidziak will appear Wednesday evening at Ohio University Zanesville’s Elson Hall to share a humorous take on some of life’s most useful lessons that he learned in the Twilight Zone.
“One of the teasers he gave us was that an angel visited a character. And the angel told the character that you have an opportunity to do good because the person was on a path to bad. And so, the message that the angel delivered was one of those lifelong lessons. Another one was about a WWI fighter pilot,” Muskingum County History Executive Director Larisa Harper said.
The Twilight Zone presentation centers around supernatural themes that will begin at 6 p.m. in the Elson Hall auditorium, just in time for Halloween.
“Mark is very entertaining and he brings to us a different take on history,” Harper said. “A lot of times we focus on Muskingum County’s history and of course it’s very important, that’s our number one educational item. But sometimes it’s fun to bring in a different perspective about a different topic that was important in our history. The Twilight Zone was more of a fictional piece of our history but the Twilight Zone also touched on significant events in our past and America’s past.”
Harper said the lighthearted event will provide general seating and the admission is free.
