Tammy S. (Booher) Carter, passed away peacefully at her residence on October 2, 2024, at the age of 56. Born on October 9, 1964, in Zanesville, Tammy’s vibrant spirit and infectious love for life touched everyone she met. Tammy’s journey through life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her family. She was a loving mother to Michael (Jazzmin) Carter, Marlee (Anthony) Carter, Ashley (Noah) Murdock, and Tina (Michael Bulley) Carter. She cherished her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother, leaving behind a legacy of love and joy in the hearts of her several grandchildren and a few great-grandchildren. Her family circle was vast and full of warmth, including her mother Charlene (Russell) Booher, brothers Ron (Jennifer) Booher, Rick (Toshia) Booher, Rob (Renee) Booher, Daryl Rhodes, and sisters Tina Booher, Billie Carr, and Barbie (Bob) Eltringham. She also leaves behind a host of friends, and co-workers who became a part of her extended family over the years. Tammy’s work ethic was as strong as her spirit. She worked at several area local potteries and as clerk at Circle K. Most recently she was a valued team member at Sterling Teal, where her co-workers were like family. Her colleagues will remember her for her tenacity, her infectious laughter, and the care she brought to her work every day. Tammy’s presence in the workplace was a source of strength and inspiration to many, and her absence will be deeply felt. Beyond her family and work life, Tammy had a passion for the Dallas Cowboys, often playfully challenging anyone within earshot with her favorite phrase, “How ‘Bout Dem Boys?” Her love for racing, football, and music was surpassed only by her fondness for safari animals, which reflected her adventurous spirit and love to be wild and free. Tammy was a tough woman, but her toughness was always in service of protecting and caring for her family. She faced life’s challenges with courage and determination, showing those around her what it means to stand strong in the face of adversity. Her protective nature was a source of comfort and security to her loved ones, and her guidance and wisdom will continue to influence them in the years to come. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Carter, who passed away December 29, 2023, and sister-in-law, Karen Carter. As we say goodbye to Tammy, we celebrate the time we had with her and the countless memories that will forever be etched in our hearts.
