Tanker Carrying Milk Crashes on I-70 East in Cambridge
An accident involving a tanker truck carrying milk is causing traffic delays on Interstate 70 East in Cambridge.
The State Highway Patrol reports the accident happened around 12:15 p.m Tuesday.
Authorities say Jamison Blackmore of Goshen, Indiana was driving his tractor-trailer southbound on I-77 and was attempting to merge onto I-70 East.
Troopers say Blackmore’s truck then overturned due to driving too fast around the curve.
Blackmore was taken to Southeastern Med with minor injuries.
The truck was carrying 50,000 pounds of milk that spilled onto the highway.
The Ohio Department of Transportation was called to the scene to help with clean up.
One lane of I-70 East was reopened shortly after 5:00 p.m. Both lanes opened up to traffic shortly after 6:00 p.m.
