Taxi Driver Robbed

A woman faces formal robbery charges Monday after the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office says she robbed a taxi driver at gunpoint.

Sheriff Timothy Rodgers say just before 12:30am Monday they received a call from a Shelly’s Taxi Service driver reporting she had been robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash, a pack of cigarettes and a lighter.

A 53-year-old Coshocton woman was arrested later found with the firearm and other evidence.

Charges may also be filed against a 28-year-old Coshocton man after a presentation of evidence to the grand jury.

The incident remains under investigation.
