Teen Dies After Hitting Bus

A Lancaster teen is dead following a crash Wednesday in Pleasant Township.

According to the Lancaster Post of the State Highway Patrol, 19-year-old Kayla Dingess was traveling southbound around 11:45 a.m. on State Route 188 in the area of Mudhouse Road when she went left-of-center. Dingess’ vehicle struck a Lancaster Transit Bus heading northbound driven by 36-year-old Sean Brentlinger of Lancaster.

Brentlinger was taken to Fairfield Medical Center where he was treated and released. Dingess was flown to Grant Medical Center in Columbus where she succumbed to her injuries.
