Teen Tech Time at John McIntire Library

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The John McIntire Library hosted Teen Tech Time this afternoon. An event where people could go and try out the library’s newest technology.

Muskingum County Library System Emerging Technologist, Jeremy Norris said the event is mainly focused for teenagers, but people of all ages can come and try out the new tech. The library has a variety of new gadgets including a virtual reality head set, a drone and more. The library is also showing off their new 3-D printer.

Norris said “We have a 3-D printing service now where you can actually submit a file and we will 3D print one item for you a month.”

He believes there has been so many technological advances throughout the years including the automotive and medical industry, that it is important for young adults to learn.  Norris really wants the community to know that although they are only having this event today, all the technology will always be in the library.

Norris also said “I think I want the community to understand what is that we actually have here and that they can come do this for free versus having to go and spend money.”
Teen Tech Time was an event that offered up some pretty cool experiences for the surrounding community.
