Terri McCort

Terri McCort left this world peacefully on the evening of April 12th, 2026, after battling illness. She leaves to be with her mother, father, 2 sisters, and 4 brothers. She is survived by her sister Tracy, and her son Seth.
Terri was an avid horror movie fan; she loved reading fiction and was known as a storyteller her whole life. She wrote stories, she gardened, cooked homemade food during the holidays, baked and decorated cakes, loved sitting outside in the shade of peach trees and admiring her and her sister’s work in the garden, and to spend time with all her doggies running around being goofy. She loved to listen to the crickets and spring peepers (what we call the noisy frogs spawning in the springtime around here) in the evenings as she relaxed. Though she didn’t have any grandchildren, she loved all the kids that graced her life with hugs and smiles. She was known as “Aunt T” to many. Her nieces, nephews, cousins, 2nd cousins and so on, were all dearly loved by her, and her presence will indubitably be missed.
The saying “a heart of gold” isn’t enough to describe how kind and loving she was. She was a free spirit and looked at the world her own way. She always tried to see the positive side of things, even if there were none to be found. The world lost an amazing woman and will forever be altered not only by her absence, but by the impact she had on those she loved.
Private graveside services will be held. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
