Terry D. Phillips Jr., 60, died Sunday morning, October 4, 2026, at Roscoe Gardens Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation.

Born October 20, 1965, in Zanesville, he was the son of the late Terry D. and Ruth Ann (Whyde) Phillips, Sr. Terry was a 1984 graduate of Tri-Valley High School and he was an over the road truck driver, co-owner of Ol’ Skool Customs, Ol’ Skool pizza and later owner of Sic Motor Sports. He enjoyed the art of building and racing dirt track racecars and building motorcycles. He could rebuild anything he laid his hands on. Terry was known to be stubborn and creative, making him dangerously crafty when he got building in his garage.

Surviving is his son, T. J. (Lakin) Phillips of Conesville; daughter, Tara Phillips of Clarksvill, Tennessee; a granddaughter, Murphy Phillips; a grandson, Owen Phillips; a brother, Randy (Lisa) Phillips; a sister, Kim Phillips; aunts, uncles and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Raymond and Bernice Whyde; and paternal grandparents, Wymar and Dessie Phillips; aunt and uncle, Judy & Wayne Park; aunt, Neva Dehoff; uncle, Bill Whyde; aunt, Kathryn Whyde

No calling hours will be observed. A graveside service will be held at 10:00AM, Friday, October 09, 2026, at Dresden Cemetery.

Terry will be laid to rest at Dresden Cemetery, Dresden, Ohio.
