Texas Man Sentenced in Drug Pipeline Case

One of the men arrested as part of a Hispanic and Mexican drug pipeline has been sentenced in Zanesville. The Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office says 29-year-old Erick Marquez of Mercedes, Texas pled guilty to one count of Fabrication of a Vehicle with a Hidden Compartment. Common Pleas Judge Mark Fleegle gave Marquez 2 years in prison and he must forfeit items seized at the time of arrest. In May of this year the Muskingum County and Zanesville City Joint Drug Unit arrested three men in the drug case.
