The 146 Hosts Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

ZANESVILLE, OH – A new restaurant cut their ribbon on their new location.

The 146 hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony today with the Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce at the Colony Square Mall.

Suzie Piecynski, one of the Owners, says they’ve been open for about 2 weeks but are excited to officially be open to the public.

She also told the story of how they came up with their name for the restaurant.

“We were looking at another location previously, that we didn’t end up going through with and it happened to be on 146.” Piecynski said. “But we thought, that would kind of be a cool name, The 146, and then when we switched locations we already had everything in place, and thought, we’re just going to keep that.”

Amber Herron, another Owner and General Manager, says The 146 has an upscale restaurant theme but without the upscale prices.

She says it’s great to finally be open for everyone to come and enjoy some locally made food and drinks.

“We have been working at this for over a year, and then once we finally got this location and everything.” Herron said. “So it’s super nice to be open, finally, to be able to have staff and employ them. For something new in Zanesville and for it to be local and not a chain, or corporate or anything.”

The 146 is located at 3575 Maple Ave.
