The 32nd Annual Festival of Trees

Fest Of Trees

ZANESVILLE, OH – The highly anticipated Festival of Trees Auction is finally here.

Every holiday season this event allows community members to bid on spectacular trees and other Christmas décor along with incentives. All of the money raised supports the many programs offered through the Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce. This year there were over 180 entries, and the chamber is overjoyed with the turn out.

Membership Services Specialist Lydia Tom Expressed her gratitude to the community.

“The entries and incentives are amazing this year. Again, we are so grateful we have packages to Hocking Hills, we have fishing trips, we have so many gift cards to local businesses, so it’s nice that we are supporting each other, Tom said. We have Browns and Bengals tickets so I mean there are endless awesome incentives you can bid on.”

This is the chambers 32nd year hosting the event and it’s typically the largest fundraiser held by chamber of commerce. Many bidders and businesses have been awaiting the festivals arrival this year.

“It is our first year participating as a spectator and as a business,” said Angela Thacker. We do have an entry for the freight shop, so we are just here checking everything out. Seeing what there is to offer. I will say I never expected there to be this many trees, this many incentives. So much support from the community. It’s a super great event. I encourage everyone to stop by.”

There were out of the box themes this year. Community member Madelyn Cherrington shares her auction experience.

“The Carr Center has a tree in the auction this year and it’s movie themed so there’s a couple of gift cards in there I believe to Cinemark and to the 146. There are some awesome movie prizes in there as well.”

This year’s  Festival of Trees Auction raised $57,435.

Winners can pick up their auction items on Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon or on Monday December 9th from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
