ZANESVILLE, OH – If you like silent auctions, give aways, and bowling for a great cause, the Strike Out for Breast Cancer Bowling Tournament might just be right up your alley.

People from all over the community came together at the Sunrise Bowling Alley to strike out breast cancer. Bowlers paid $20 to bowl, and all the proceeds are going to the Genesis Breast Cancer Center to help women get wigs, prosthetics, bras, and a free mammogram.

“I am a breast cancer survivor. I’m actually celebrating 7 years and heading into my 8th year. When we started this, I was just newly diagnosed with my journey. It’s grown from 100 bowlers clear up to over 190 bowlers. So, I want to help give back to the community that helped me to when I was going through my journey.” Chairperson of Stike Out for Breast Cancer, Tammy Hildenbrand said.

This was the 7th annual Strike Out for Breast Cancer Tournament, and this was the first time it completely sold out with over 190 bowlers. Not only was there bowling, but the famous Buck I Guy and other community members showed up for giveaways and raffles making it a fun and unforgetta-bowl time.

Buck I Guy explains what he enjoys most about the tournament.

“Just giving back to the community and making sure everybody has a fair shot and a leg up on everything.” Buck I Guy stated.

The Strike Out for Breast Cancer Tournament will return next year.
