The 86th Annual Performance of Messiah
One local church has been preparing for the last two months to put on a special holiday oratoria.
The Central Trinity United Methodist church hosted the 86th annual performance of Messiah by George Fredrick Handel. This event was put on by the Zanesville Civic Chorus and Orchestra and was open for free to the public.
“This music has been around for hundreds of years. This is good music, it helps to put you in the Christmas spirit. Although it’s not all Christmas themed, you just can’t beat George Fredrick Handel’s music. The good thing about this, all of our expensive are paid but, we will take an offering during the intermission. George Fredrick Handel wrote this to raise money for poor and needy people.”
All of the money raised will be going to Life-Bridge Ohio located in Putnam, to help eliminate poverty.
