The Animal Shelter Society Spotlights All Their Feline Friends
ZANESVILLE, OH – This week the Animal Shelter Society isn’t just shining a light on one cat, but instead all of the cats currently in their care.
The Animal Shelter is almost at full capacity on kittens and cats. To help some of these loveable felines find their forever home, The Shelter will be running a Meow-Tastic Adoption Special through the month of September.
April Gibson, the Executive Director of the Animal Shelter Society, said any cat 6 months and older will have a $30 adoption fee and cats 6 months and under will have a $50 adoption fee.
“It includes their altering, that means spay or neutering, fully vaccinated up to their age, flea and tick treatment, deworming, and all of our dogs and felines here are microchipped,” Gibson said. “That’s what it’s including, it’s not just for the animal and then you’ll have a very healthy animal to go home.”
The Shelter is continuing this month-long Meow-Tastic Adoption Special with a special Adoption Day. The Adoption Day event will take place on Sunday, Sept. 22nd from 1 to 4PM at The Animal Shelter Society.
Gibson said if you plan to come to this Adoption Day event, to make sure you bring all of your information and paperwork with you.
“You still have to do the adoption application when you get here, we have a paper application, we won’t let that go. It’s very important for us to make sure these animals are going to the right home,” Gibson said. “So you have to do a little homework; if you rent, then bring in your lease agreement or a letter from your landlord saying you can have a pet. If you have other animals at your residence bring up their up to date records and their information.”
