The annual Chamber Golf Outing makes networking a hole-in-one

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce held it’s first golf outing of the year today.
Zanesville County Club saw 27 teams take to the green today after enjoying a lunch buffet. According to Dana Matz, the chamber president, this event is a great fundraiser but also an opportunity for local businesses.
“It’s wonderful. We view these as great networking opportunities and it brings a lot of people together. You know we have small businesses, our larger businesses, they’re here. They’re all talking to each other. Like I said, they got to have lunch together and now they’re out on the course and luckily it’s a beautiful day. ”
According to Matz, he’s had people reach out who’ve missed the chance to sign up for this outing but he wants to remind everyone of future opportunities with the chamber.
“Our next golf outing will be held at the Jaycee’s Golf Course. Again, we do two a year in late spring and mid-summer and just an opportunity to get our members together. Most of our events that we have like our business mixer coming up next month is, again, a chance for us to get businesses to get together, have a chance to talk and it was fun to hear the different conversations. People talking about their businesses growing or different products or services that they’ve added. ”
You can keep an eye out for when the next golf outing will take place and how to sign up by visiting the Zanesville-Muskingum Chamber of Commerce’s website or following them on Facebook. The Summer Business Mixer is June 10 at the barn and is open to members and the public.
