The Annual Pork Supper and Bake Sale returns at Trinity Lutheran Church

ZANEESVILLE, Ohio – Since 1940, the Trinity Lutheran Church group, Ladies Aid, has hosted an Annual Pork Supper and Bake sale and this year is no exception.
Meal tickets are now available for the Nov. 6 event. Adult meal tickets are $12 and includes pork steak, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, apple sauce, a roll and desserts with drinks. Children’s meal tickets are $6 and the money is used for several community causes.
“We help to support Eastside [Community Ministries] with some donations. We give to our seminarians who are training to become Lutheran ministers and then various other church projects. And then, over the most recent years Ladies Aid has donated $4,000 to help LifeWise buy bibles for the children in our city,” said Nancy Corbett, the president of Ladies Aid at Trinity Lutheran Church.
With a goal of feeding 400 people, Ladies Aid asks that you order your tickets in advance so they can prepare the proper amount of food. Tickets can be ordered for dine-in or carryout options located at 128 South 7th Street in Zanesville.
“So you come and eat between 4 and 6:30 [p.m.] and the bake sale is at noon. It runs through the entire evening. So you could eat your dessert before you eat your meal. Although, there’s pie with the meal,” said Carla Reed, Ladies Aid’s secretary.
You can order tickets by calling (740) 453-0744. You can also learn more about Trinity Lutheran Church by visiting their website TrinityZanesville.org.
