The Carr Center Golf Outing
The chilly weather didn’t keep golfers from coming out to Vista View Golf Course to support a great organization Friday.
The Carr Center has been apart of the community for almost 60 years now serving children with disabilities and seniors. Executive Director of the Carr Center Kim Hosler says that the money raised today benefits their programs.
"It benefits the youth services department of the Carr Center. Those programs are the toddler enrichment program, we provide private speech therapy, we have a reading program for children who are a little bit behind and we also have a new program this fall that’s social language development"
The cost was $240 per team. Door prizes were also offered to those who came to enjoy golfing on the green. Hosler says the golf outing gives them an opportunity to socialize with their supporters.
"It gives us an opportunity to meet those people that, on a more close basis, on a personal and fun level, that typically support the Carr Center throughout the year and when we get to see them on the course, its not such a business relationship its a little bit more fun."
The event ran from 8:30AM to 1PM. To learn more about the Carr Center, you can visit the website: www.carrcenter.org
