The Chamber of Commerce to host Annual Chamber Luncheon

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Zanesville-Muskingum Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for its sold-out Annual Chamber Luncheon.
The annual luncheon serves as an official chamber meeting while also offering highlights, including a keynote speech by Libby Spears, who will discuss how to recognize what you bring to your organization. The event will also serve as a major networking event for chamber members.
“We’ll have over 260 people in the room. So, as with all of our events, we promote networking. So it’s an opportunity to talk to fellow business people in the room, ask for introductions if there’s somebody you’ve always wanted to meet,” said Dana Matz, president of the chamber of commerce. “Our chamber team can do that for the guests at our event. But again, having over 260 people in the room to hear a national speaker is just a wonderful opportunity. It’s a great giveback, if you will, for our chamber organization.”
The event on March 11 will also feature major updates for incoming and outgoing chamber leadership, including a passing of the gavel from the current board chair, AJ Patel, to the new chair, Julie Paxton.
“And so, there’s a slate of officers that’ll be announced, and then our board members. And we take a hard look at the industry in Muskingum County and make sure that we have the top ten industries represented,” Matz said. “The interesting thing about our membership is over 80% of our businesses are small businesses. So that just explains our community a little bit better. But, we are here to serve businesses, whether it’s a one-person operation or a 4,000-person operation.”
The Annual Chamber Luncheon is the biggest event of the year held by the Zanesville-Muskingum Chamber of Commerce and you can learn more about the chamber on their website.
