The Dancing Divas prepare for an America 250 Extravaganza

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Dancing Divas are foregoing their annual competition to present an America 250 extravaganza of music and dance.
The non-profit organization has organized an event featuring the Y-City Barbershop Chorus, Friendship VII Sweet Adelines, and more, including the Dancing Divas. The variety show is set to take the stage at the Zanesville City School’s Steam Building Auditorium on July 18, at 7 p.m.
Other performers include Soul Legacy, Soul Legacy, and Melinda & Taylor “Tater Tot” Russell.
“It’s really been just a palette cleanse of shows in the past to kind of do something that you know causes us to have more creativity, to work collaboratively with these other groups and just to bring something new to the community for this year in celebration of America’s 250th,” said Ashley Bondurant, a board member of the Dancing Divas.
Tickets are on sale now at Valerie Ann’s Boutique located at 1419 Maple Avenue. General admission is $15 per person, with proceeds benefiting the Veterans Appreciation Foundation.
“They are participating in the Honor Flights. They have breakfasts for the veterans, free breakfasts every month at different venues. The banners in the city that you see with the veterans is all done by this Veterans Appreciation Foundation. They do a lot of things to highlight and support and bring some honor to our veterans in the local area,” said Lisa Burkhart, a Dancing Diva.
