The Farmers Market Welcomes a New Business

ZANESVILLE – A new fresh Italian business makes its way to the Farmers Market for the first time, this summer.
Eli Peller and Alyssa Hawn were both in active duty military for the last four years living in Italy and Germany and moved back to Ohio in October to start a life on a farm. Now they’re the owners of ‘Rosehill Farm’ a place that Hawn said is based on natural organic practices.
"We wanted to create a business the best of Europe so we’re growing produce, we’re making bread, we’re making interesting homemade jams and just trying to inspire people and have good food that is whole and good for the earth and is sustainable," said Hawn.
Peller said some of the main values for their business is to keep everything local and fresh.
"It’s been a really welcoming place and a welcoming market, we’re just happy to have more feet traffic. It’s great to have local support and our local community appreciate the food that we are making and support us in our endeavor to bring local, fresh seasonal food to Zanesville Ohio," said Peller.
Peller said eventually they plan to open a restaurant on their farm and cook farm to table food with Hawn as the head chef.
