The Follies Family Presents their 28th Annual Variety Show

 A performance that showcases a variety of local talent will be held at the Secrest Auditorium on Saturday.

The Follies Family is hosting their 28th Annual Zaney Follies Variety Show this weekend. President of the Follies Family and Director of the Zaney Follies Show, John Kullman said the purpose of this show is to raise money for Genesis Hospice.

"It’s a release from everyday life, it’s kind of an escape for some people. They get to be somebody that they’re not everyday of their life, they get to be somebody else for a short time. A lot of the people that do this show have had a family member or a close friend that has used hospice services and this is a way for them to give back and help other hospice patients," said Kullman.

The theme for this years show is ‘At the Movies’ they will be performing movie songs from the 1930’s until the present day. Kullman said if you’ve never attended this event, you are in for a nice surprise.

"Mostly singing and dancing, we do have some skits and some comedy in there. It’s all local talent and they’re all volunteers. They come and audition and sign up and they’re in the show, we try not to turn anybody away," said Kullman.

There are two showings on Saturday, the first one starting at 2 p.m and the 2nd one at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 for reserved seating and $10 for non-reserved seating in the balcony if you buy your tickets in advance; or $20 at the door for reserved seating and $15 for non-reserved in the Balcony.
