The Muskingum County Library Systems Annual Report  Has Arrived

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The 2015 annual report for the Muskingum County Library System is now available to see.

This year the report is on the bags that customers use for books, DVDs, or CDs. Assistant Director Blair Tom said the bags are both useful and informative.

“When we look at the year, we try to look at usage of library materials as well as innovative partnerships that we’ve continues or initiated during the year because we feel that’s an area we’ve add real value. The numbers are encouraging. 50% of Muskingum county residents have a library card. We want to grow that number,” said Tom.

The report shows that last year 179,000 children books and magazines were borrowed, 215,000 adult books were loaned, and 77,000 items were downloaded from the virtual library. Tom said it’s a snapshot of 2015.

“It informs in fleshes out what we think, what we feel, and what we know. And then that information informs what we strives to accomplish in cooperation with Muskingum County residents during 2016. It establishes benchmarks. We can see areas of opportunity for improvement, are that are really succeeding that we want to maintain and then the gaps,” said Tom.

Tom said with the data gathered from the report he plans on offering more services to Muskingum County residents.
