The Night of January 16th Opening Weekend at the Renner Theater

If you like a good mystery and suspense play you are in luck.
The Renner Theater presents the classic courtroom drama Night of January 16th. This is a theatrical play, that takes place entirely inside of a courtroom where they select members of the audience to play the roles of jury members.
“This is a courtroom drama. It is the story of Karen Andre who is on trail for the murder of her former boss and lover and we have an interactive jury that gets to decide her faith” said Director, Michelle Robison.
At the end of the play the jury gathers together and takes a vote based off of the characters testimonies then returns to announce the verdict which could potentially determined one of two short endings.
“What I want the audience to go away with is one if they are asking the question, which way would I vote, did I think she did it, why did I not think she did it if I thought she was not guilty. Also, I want them to get that passion that some of our actors are portraying because, it feels like a like a live environment, it’s real. When you see this production you start to get engrossed and you start to lean into it, and I really want that reaction from my audience,” said Robison.
This production will run again next Friday and Saturday at 8 pm and Sunday at 2:30 pm.
