The Pieceable Quilters Guild Prepare For Quilt Show And Expo

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Pieceable Quilters Guild is holding a two day quilt show and expo at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds.

Starting Saturday, 105 Pieceable members will have 322 quilts on display to be viewed and judged. Vicki Kinnan said this event is about quilting and learning. Kinnan said they want to be able to get the younger generations interested in quilting so that they can pass on the helpful tips they’ve learned along the way.

"Today we’re setting up for the quilt show for tomorrow and we’re hanging all of the quilts and getting our heirloom quilts ready. We have our lunch lady cafe’ and we’re getting the kitchen ready for the meal prep and then all of the ladies will make their pies and bring them in," said Kinnan.

Kinnan said their overall goal is to showcase their creations to the public and donate to a special cause.

"Our guild supports Red Cross and our local chapter. We have a group that sews and makes those quilts but, our whole guild makes pieces for it," said Kinnan.

The quilt show goes on Saturday and Sunday and admission is $5 per day.
