The United Way’s Superhero Trivia Night recognizes special sponsors like the Close to Home Center

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The United Way of Muskingum, Perry and Morgan Counties is gearing up for Superhero Trivia Night with special sponsors called Caped Crusaders.

The fundraiser for the United Way is Jan. 15 at Eaglesticks Golf Club and is supported by 18 sponsors. Four sponsors went above and beyond for their contributions to the event and were dubbed Caped Crusaders for the superhero-themed event.

“Caped Crusaders stepped up to be able to continue creating impact in the areas of youth opportunity, healthy communities, financial security and overall a place of community resiliance. And, that’s what the trivia night is for, It’s about bringing these organizations together, be able to have a bit of community while also having a shared mission of raising money to be able to affect these pillars of ours,” said Alyssa Moore, the community engagement coordinator for the United Way.

One of the local community organizations that will be featured as a Caped Crusader is the Close to Home Center operated by Nationwide Children’s Hospital. The Close to Home Center at 740 Adair Avenue helps families find pediatric healthcare without commuting to Columbus.

“So, at Nationwide Children’s, we believe that all patients deserve access to expert pediatric healthcare and we’re trying to reduce barriers to access for that care,” said Shaun Coffman,
Close to Home Site Director. “So, we opened the Close to Home Center in 2024, and our services we provide there; we have walk-in labs, we have some of our specialty clinics such as cardiology, adult congenital disease clinic, urology, hematology, oncology, and genetics.”
