The Waiting Game

One restaurant in McConnelsville is playing the waiting game.

The Boondocks Barbecue and Grill won’t find out if it makes the cut on the Food Network’s show Diners, Drive-in’s, and Dives until January of next year. That date was pushed up from November.

The show visited 127 restaurants east of the Mississippi river in 2009, and the Boondocks is one of the top 50 contenders. The host, Guy Fieri, taped segments with seven restaurants across Ohio, and the Boondocks is the only restaurant in the state left standing.

If picked, the episode will air sometime next year.
