The Zanesville District Golf Association’s held its Annual Golf Show with a silent auction Saturday.
Hundreds of golf enthusiast from the community came out. Bev Steinbrecher came to support her 77-year old father, Fred Steinbrecher who is a member of the Hall of Fame for the Zanesville District Golf Association. Today he is out taking tickets from patrons when they walk through the door.
"My dad is is a member of the Zanesville District Golf Association. It’s a wonderful organization to involve the youth in golf. I came out to support him and his friends like Steve Calloway and Mike Durant and Kelly Morrow from Eagle Sticks," said Bev Steinbrecher.
Steinbrecher said the event gives her dad an opportunity to spend time with his friends while doing something positive for the community.
"My dad is retired and one of the things that keeps active is being in this organization and being with his friends and helping the children and the youth in the Zanesville area to become interested in golf and to have life long friendships. So, it’s very important to him," Said Steinbrecher.
The proceeds from this event will go to the ZDGA Junior Golf Association and toward scholarships for area senior high school golfers.
