Third Meth Lab Suspect in Court

A third person arrested with a mobile meth lab pled not guilty Wednesday in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court.

27-year-old John Campfield was arraigned on one count of illegal assembly of chemicals for the manufacturing of drugs.

Campfield, his wife 25-year-old Stephanie Campfield, and 30-year-old Atassia Burkett were arrested in January on Linden Avenue in Zanesville. Authorities say they discovered a mobile meth lab in the vehicle they were in. The Campfield’s two-year-old child was also in the car.

Stephanie Campfield and Burkett have already pled guilty to the same charge earlier this month.

All three remain in the Muskingum County Jail.

Judge Kelly Cottrill continued John Campfield’s bond at $100,000.
