Thomas “Tommy” Lawrence

Thomas “Tommy” Calvin Lawrence, 90, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 23, 1934, in Malta to the late Donald and Helen Berry Lawrence. He retired from the Morgan County Highway Department, where he was an Operating Engineer. Tommy served his country and protected our freedom in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion Post #29, VFW in Malta, York Rite, Scottish Rite, Knights Templer and Valley Lodge #145. He was also a member of the Main Street Church of Christ. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing and cheering on The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns.
He is survived by his children: Terry Lawrence, Matt (Tasha) Lawrence, Brian (Yan Ting) Blake, Kathy (Terry) Robison, Kim (Gene) McGrew, Kristy Hooper and Abbey (Levi) Clawson; two half-brothers: Donnie Lawrence and Gary Lawrence; a half-sister: Connie Ferguson; grandchildren: Lanie Robison, Tosha (Jason) Westfall, Cory (Heather) Robison, Travis (Kelly) Short, Kaci Hooper, Jeremy Hooper, Kara Hooper, Justin (Lisa) Lawrence, Zach (Jenna) Lawrence, Lilly-Ann Clawson, Isaiah Clawson, Alexander Blake, Anderson Blake and Tricia Leanne (Corey) Blevins; several great grandchildren; and his beloved dog Pepper.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Pamela Langbein Lawrence; his daughter Tricia Leanne Lawrence; infant twin daughters: Lisa and Teresa Lawrence; infant son Ralph Eugene Lawrence; and two half-sisters: Mickey Farley and Becky Martin.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to “his girls” at Shriver’s Hospice.
Visitation will be from 11AM to 1PM, Friday, September 26, 2025, at Main Street Church of Christ, 9 North Fourth Street, McConnelsville. The funeral service will start at 1PM with Vernon Eldridge officiating. Burial will follow in Meigs Cemetery.
