Thomas W. Winsley (November 5, 1927 – February 12, 2015)

Thomas William “Bill†Winsley, 87, of Zanesville, died at 7:20 A.M. on February 12, 2015, at the Genesis Hospice-Morrison House surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 5, 1927 in Pierceton, Indiana, the son of the late John R. and Myrtle D Mort Winsley. He was a graduate of Ohio Northern University – College of Pharmacy and a member of Market St. Baptist Church. He was an army veteran who served in Italy at the end of World War II. Bill was a pharmacist at Good Samaritan Hospital prior to him and his wife purchasing Harris Pharmacy in 1959. In 1973, they re-located the pharmacy to Greenwood Avenue and changed the name to Winsley Pharmacy.
Surviving are two daughters, Becky Winsley and Joy (James) Prentice; two sons William T. (Betsy) Winsley and Kurt (Adrienne) Winsley; 18 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; a sister Peg (Tony) Neri; son-in-law Scott Stevens; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Rowena M. Harris Winsley who died March 23, 2014; a daughter Barbara Stevens; a brother James Winsley; and sister-in-law Wanda Winsley.
Friends and family may call from 2:00-6:00 P.M. on Monday February 16, 2015, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, and one hour prior to the funeral service which will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday February 17, 2015, at the Market Street Baptist Church, 140 N. 6th Street, Zanesville, with Pastor Howard Thompson officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife Rowena at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
