Thomas Wilson, 92 of Corning, Ohio died at 5:35am on Monday, April 16, 2012 at Genesis-Good Samaritan Medical Center, Zanesville, Ohio.

Born December 28, 1919 in Corning, Ohio to the late Clifford and Eura Koher Wilson.

As a young man, Tom worked in the coal mines, in the 40’s and 50’s he was a dairy beef farmer and served as a Pleasant Township Trustee; and in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s he served as Perry County Sheriff.

He was a member of the Gideons, a sixty year member of the Corning Lodge #584, F & AM and a member of the Oakfield Wesleyan Church.

Survived by daughter, Rebecca Froelich (Terry) Bernard of Corning, son, T. Chris (Carolyn) Wilson of Corning, grandchildren, Robert (Kelly) Froelich, Todd (Jasna) Wilson and Craig Wilson; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Evan Froelich and Maya Wilson; sister, Clarann Musick; step-children, Terry, Jr. (Becky) Bernard and Sonia (Tim) Alfman; step-grandchildren, Morgan, Carrie and Sara.

In addition to his parents, preceded in death by his wife, Emily Sisk Wilson on September 1, 2006; brothers and sisters, A.K. Wilson, Ralph Wilson, Jay Wilson, Katherine Peters and Velma Payne.

Calling hours will be held from 2-4pm & 6-8pm with Gideons service at 7:45pm on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 and 2-4pm & 6-8pm with Masonic Lodge services at 7:45pm on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, April 20, 2012 at the Oakfield Wesleyan Church, 3583 State Route 13, SE, Oakfield, Ohio with Reverend Dan Hinkle and Reverend George Hughes officiating.
Burial will be in Whippstown Cemetery, Corning, Ohio with full honors by the Perry County Sheriff’s Department.
