Threat at Watkins Memorial High School
The Licking County Sheriff’s Office says a Watkins Memorial High School student has now confessed to making a threat against the school.
The sheriff’s office says the 15-year-old male student admitted to his parents that he was the person who made the threat. The parents then alerted detectives around 10 p.m. last night. The boy was then brought to the sheriff’s office where he confessed to detectives to being the sole person who made the threat and stated that no one else knew about what he had done.
He was placed under arrest and transported to the juvenile detention center to await his court hearing. Since who made the threat was unknown until late Monday night, the sheriff’s office staged officers at the school all day Monday as a precaution.
