Tonya Evans

Tonya L. Evans, 50, of Roseville, left this world on October 20, 2025, while under the care of Genesis Hospice Morrison House. Born in Zanesville, Ohio, on November 27, 1974, to John Spears and the late Roberta (Pierce) Spears, Tonya grew up to be a vibrant soul who cherished life’s simple pleasures and embraced every moment life would allow. Tonya dedicated her life to her family, creating a warm and loving home as a homemaker. Her commitment to her husband, Mike Evans, was unwavering, and together they built a life filled with love and laughter. She was a pillar of strength and support for her children, Todd Evans, Dakota (Alyssa) Evans, and Adrianna (Tanner) Evans. Her grandchildren, Bentley, Kyson, Layla, Adelyn, Haidyn, and Rowan, were the apple of her eye, and an integral part of her existence. The family circle included her brother, John Spears, and sister, Deborah Spears; Her nieces and nephews, Colton, Natasha, Breanna, Blake, and Chanse, will fondly remember her playful spirit and nurturing heart. Tonya also held a special place for her aunt, Connie Rhoades, and niece, Mary Wheeler. Tonya’s friendships were as deep as they were long-lasting. Her special friends, Pauline and Donnie Starcher, Julena Sweeney, Destiny Porter, Seth Wyer, and her bonus daughter, Autumn Epler, were an integral part of her life’s journey, sharing in both her joys and her sorrows. They, along with many others, will miss her dearly. Her interests and hobbies reflected her outgoing personality. Tonya found joy in the thrill of gambling and the camaraderie of playing bingo with her favorite buddy, the late Myra “Hoobie” Evans. Her adventurous spirit took her often to Amish Country, where she delighted in the simplicity and beauty of the landscape. Camping trips were yet another avenue for Tonya to soak in the beauty of nature and spend quality time with those she loved most. The family would like to express their appreciation and gratitude to Jeff (Amanda) Evans, Earl (Andrea) Durst and Jarrett (Kyrstein) for their compassion and support throughout Tonya’s journey. Calling hours will be held Monday November 3, 2025, from 2pm – 4pm and 6pm – 8pm at Ross-Frash Funeral Home, 33 N. Main Street, Roseville.
