"tools For Schools" Now Accepting Donations

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The “Tools For Schools” Program packs backpacks for 1,000 Muskingum County children grades 1 through 12.

The backpacks are packed with essential school items such as notebooks, binders, colored pencils, markers, scissors, glue, etc.

“Tools For School” Co-Chair, Ellen Shaw, said that parents will need to come down to Eastside Community Ministry to fill out an application to see if they are eligible to receive supplies.

The application process will begin July 11th, 12th, 13th, and 14th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Eastside Community Ministry.

When applying, applicants should bring photo identification, proof of family size and current residency.

For those who would like to donate, there are drop off locations at Eastside Community Ministry, John McIntire Library, and the local community banks.

Shaw also mentioned that there would be a “Stuff The Bus” event at the Wal-Mart located off of Maple Avenue on Saturday, July 16th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
