Y-Bridge Beautification
MUSKINGUM COUNTY, OHIO (WHIZ) – Timber Run Gardeners and the Muskingum Valley Garden Society planted flowers in all of the pots on the Y-Bridge Tuesday. The city has also provided some funds so that the garden society can add even more spring color to downtown.
National Alliance on Mental Illness

Muskingum Valley Head Start 50th Anniversary
MUSKINGUM COUNTY, OHIO (WHIZ) -The Muskingum Valley Head Start celebrated it’s 50th Anniversary Tuesday by planting a rose bush near it’s playground. Across the county there are a total of four head start locations. Muskingum Valley is already taking enrollment for next year.
Thomas Edison Statue
ZANESVILLE, OHIO (WHIZ) – A new statue of Thomas Edison is ready to be unveiled at the Ohio Statehouse before it eventually goes to its permanent home in statuary hall at the U.S. Capitol. Zanesville sculptor Alan Cottrill created the life-size image of Edison holding a light bulb.
Injury Accident
MUSKINGUM COUNTY, OHIO (WHIZ) – Four juveniles were sent to the hospital after a car slammed into a tree on Cannelville Road near Spring Road Tuesday afternoon. No citations have been issued in the accident and it remains under investigation.
