Drug Abuse Trends

MUSKINGUM COUNTY, OHIO (WHIZ) – A recent survey of drug abuse trends shows that heroin remains popular and widely available. According to Executive Director of Muskingum Behavioral Health, Steve Carrel, two years ago they began seeing more clients abusing the drug, and now it’s replaced marijuana as the most used drug in our area.

Two Charged in Meth Lab Bust

COSHOCTON COUNTY, OHIO (WHIZ) – According to Coshocton County Sheriff, Tim Rogers, 34-Year-Old Gerald Holt Jr. and 21-year-old Tiffany Workman, both of Coshocton, have been charged with illegal possession of chemicals to manufacture drugs. The charges come after a search warrant was executed by deputies on an operating meth lab in the 900 block of South 6th street in Coshocton, Tuesday.

OSU Tree Carving

MUSKINGUM COUNTY, OHIO (WHIZ) – Robert McGrail is turning a massive, 100-year-old pin oak tree into an OSU "O" in honor of their National Championship win against Oregon. When completed McGrail expects the "O" with the base to weigh around 2,000 pounds.

Dewine Suing Somerset Man

SOMERSET, OHIO (AP) – The Ohio Attorney General is suing David Lee Marsh Sr. of Somerset after at least 10 consumers have filed complaints against the business with the Ohio Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau. Marsh owns David’s Mobile Home Transport and Repair.
