Avondale Youth Center Employee Arrested
MUSKINGUM COUNTY, OHIO (WHIZ) – Avondale youth center employee, 35-year-old Rodney Curtis is facing over 70 sex charges involving a minor. He was arrested Friday. According to Prosecutor Mike Haddox the victim is a 15-year-old female.
Department of Transportation Looking Over Possible Road Construction Projects
MUSKINGUM COUNTY, OHIO (WHIZ) – The state of Ohio has portioned out $3.5 million to be used by local governments statewide for road construction projects. In our area, the Transportation Improvement District is working to identify any possible projects. A list must be submitted by the end of May to the Department of Transportation and any funds will become available July 1st.
MCCF Extended Walk-In Hours
MUSKINGUM COUNTY, OHIO (WHIZ) – Students looking for college scholarships can stop by the Muskingum County Community Foundation during it’s extended walk-in hours. The additional hours are between 4 P.M. and 7 P.M. Monday through Thursday till April 1st.
Former Most Wanted Suspect Appears in Court
MUSKINGUM COUNTY, OHIO (WHIZ) – A former Muskingum County Most Wanted Suspect, 37-year-old Elmer Dewitt Harvey Jr., appeared in court Wednesday. Harvey pled not guilty to four counts of rape and one count of kidnapping.

MUSKINGUM COUNTY, OHIO (WHIZ) – The Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office has released details of this week’s most wanted suspect, 35-year-old Jolena Thompson-Dennis. Dennis is wanted for illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacturing of meth and funding of drug trafficking. If you have information on her whereabouts, you’re asked to call the sheriffs office.
