MUSKINGUM COUNTY, OHIO (WHIZ) – Progress is being made at the Muskingum County Center for Seniors, as repair work continues. This week’s Friday night dance will take place at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds at 7 P.M.

MUSKINGUM COUNTY, OHIO (WHIZ) – The Zanesville Muskingum County Health Department is rolling out it’s new WIC debit cards this week. The cards will take the many vouchers WIC recipients receive and compile them into a single, reloadable card.

Smoking Cessation Sessions

MUSKINGUM COUNTY, OHIO (WHIZ) – The Rambo Memorial Health Center is providing free six week smoking and tobacco-use cessation counseling services. The classes are held at the Rambo Memorial Health Center Monday mornings from 9 to 10 A.M and Wednesday evenings from 6 to 7 P.M.

MUSKINGUM COUNTY, OHIO (WHIZ) – The Muskingum County Recreation Center is celebrating it’s 1 year anniversary on Tuesday. Executive director, Beth Chapman says everyone is welcome to try out the facility free of charge.

Kasic Calling for balanced Budget

AUGUSTA, MAINE (AP) – Governor John Kasich is calling on Hillary Rodham Clinton to support his effort to require a balanced federal budget. The potential republican presidential candidate made the comments yesterday during a visit to Maine, where he wants lawmakers to pass a resolution petitioning congress to call a convention of states to propose a constitutional amendment.
