Phone Scam Alert

MUSKINGUM COUNTY, OHIO (WHIZ) – Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz says some area people are getting phone calls saying they have failed to show up for Grand Jury duty and they must pay money to get out of trouble. Sheriff Lutz says his department never solicits money over the phone and the call is a scam.

Man Charged with 7th OVI

ZANESVILLE, OHIO (WHIZ) – The Ohio State Highway Patrol has charged 40-year-old Scott D. Mautz of Zanesville with his 7th OVI. Pending further charges, the case is being presented to the Muskingum County Prosecutor.
