Apparent Bomb Threat at Foxfire School

MUSKINGUM COUNTY, OHIO (WHIZ) – The Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office, Zanesville, and Newton Township Fire Department responded to Foxfire School Tuesday to investigate a potential bomb threat. There were no injuries reported. The investigation into the threat continues.

Free Physicals

ZANESVILLE, OHIO (WHIZ) – High school athletes in need of a complete physical before participating in school athletics can do so this Saturday free of charge. Physicals start at 8 AM at the Orthopedic Associates of Zanesville on Bell Street.

Hydrant Flushing

ZANESVILLE, OHIO (WHIZ) – The Zanesville Fire Department plans to continue to flush hydrants in the Maple Avenue area today. Areas include the west side of Maple Avenue from Adair Avenue North to Maplehill Street including Adams Lane, Blue Avenue, OUZ, Zane State, and all side streets to the city limits.

Building Condemned

ZANESVILLE, OHIO (WHIZ) – The East Side Chill Thrill building on Wayne Avenue has been officially condemned by the City of Zanesville. Cracking on the property has started pulling the old drive thru off its foundation making the property no longer safe.
