Tornadoes Score First Win of the Season

 

West Muskingum, OH – Wednesday, the West Muskingum Tornadoes secured their first win of the season with a dominant 17-2 victory over Amanda-Clearcreek.

The Tornadoes had a 3-run first inning, 5-run second inning, and 8-run 3rd inning to gain a lead which held up long enough for a shortened five-inning victory at home.

Senior Cadence Puckett got the the win on the mound, striking out 4 batters along the way. At the plate, Puckett went 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI in the game.

Kate Foster had a tremendous outing, going 3 for 4 with a home run, double, and 5 RBI in all.

Junior Lydiah Huey went 2 for 3 at the plate with a home run and 3 RBI.

The Tornadoes don’t have a lot of rest time, as they travel to face reigning MVL champion John Glenn at 5:00 pm Thursday.
