Town hall meeting set for area veterans

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Clinic in Zanesville is asking for area veterans to share feedback on their experience and satisfaction with medical treatment.
A town hall meeting will be held Thursday, August 10th at 6:00 p.m. in the OU-Zanesville/Zane State College Campus Center conference room. The local community based outpatient clinic wants to hear how they can better meet the needs of area veterans.
“It is an event that is planned in hopes to get the veterans to come with their questions or suggestions for our director from Columbus, the ways that we can improve the veterans’ experiences, suggestions they have as to what they would like to see if it were possible to be available here,” said Mary Ann Hupp, manager of the Zanesville VA Clinic.
The Columbus location is an ambulatory care center that offers more intensive treatment options providing services the Zanesville location can not. Hupp said that is something they hope to expand on in the future.
“I can’t promise that we’ll expand to include everything that they’ll bring up but Ms. Hepker is the director in Columbus and she wants to hear what the veterans suggestions are,” said Hupp.
