Toys for Tots donation boxes can be found throughout Muskingum County

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – It’s that time of year where you can help children in need find presents under the tree with the Toys for Tots Toy Drive.

With drop boxes available throughout the county, you can help Muskingum County Children have a Merry Christmas by dropping off unopened toys of any kind. One community partner working with Toys for Tots is the Washington Fire Department at 2310 Adamsville Road in Zanesville.

“We’re just trying to make holidays a little brighter for several children in the county this year,” said Josh Snouffer, assistant fire chief. “Anytime that you can bring more joy to a child it is a great thing to do for the community. ”

Opal Wharton is the Muskingum County Coordinator for Toys for Tots and says that community partners like the fire department help make her work possible.

“They have helped for several years. We couldn’t do it without them. It takes a whole community. I help thousands of kids every year and it truly is a blessing to have someone like the fire department help,” said Opal Wharton, Toys for Tots Muskingum County Coordinator.
