Tractors fill the Colony Square Mall for the Antique Tractor Show

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Colony Square Mall in Zanesville has got a rustic feel thanks to the Antique Tractor Show this week.
The Old Steam & Gas Club has brought antique displays and 41 tractors to the mall to showcase the equipment that brought us through to the modern era. Tracy Holdren has serveral tractors on display and has been a member of the club since 1999 after seeing success with his 10-horsepower Sears tractor.
“I showed it once at another show before I actually joined this club. Of course, we all show at different shows and I got best of show for the year for garden tractors the first time I tried to show and that was kind of like they got the hook in me and they reeled me in,” Holdren said. “So, you know, and I’ve been showing now since then.”
Holdren says being able to educate the community about the history of these machines is one of his favorite parts of the show. The Old Steam & Gas Club and the Colony Square Mall have done this for several years and Holdren says it’s a great experience to work with them.
“It is fantastic. We look forward to coming in here as much as they look forward to having us. That’s the feeling that we get,” Holdren said. “That’s the feeling that we’ve always got. And one thing, it’s really cool driving a tractor through the mall, okay. Let’s be serious about it, not very many people can drive tractors around in the mall but we can.”
The Antique Tractor Show ends Sunday evening and you can find out more about the Old Steam & Gas Club by visiting their website. The website includes dates and locations of future shows, meetings, and tractor pulls.
