Traffic Restrictions In Newark

The Newark Police Department has announced traffic restrictions in connection to the funeral services for Danville Police Officer Tom Cottrell.

During calling hours Friday, North 21st Street will be closed to all through traffic from Meadowbrook Drive to Jackson Boulevard/Catalina Drive. The closure will take place from 1-9pm.

Officers will be posted at the road closure and directing funeral home traffic into the parking area.

Newark Police said they’ll post road closures for Saturday’s funeral later on Friday, but said to expect State Route 13 and State Route 657 to be closed in the area of Wilson Cemetery.
