Traffic Tie-Ups Expected in Zanesville Thursday

Zanesville, OH- Thursday the City of Zanesville is hosting multiple events in the downtown area.
In addition to the Tyler Farr show in the Secrest Auditorium parking lot, the Budweiser Clydesdales will parade from the Muskingum County Fairgrounds, down Brighton Boulevard to Ridge Avenue and then onto West Main Street and across the Y-Bridge and down Fourth Street to Secrest.
The Clydesdales are expected to depart the fairgrounds at 3:30pm and arrive at Secrest by 4:30pm. Following their arrival, there will be military appreciation event with a guest speaker. DJ Adonis is scheduled to begin between 5:00-5:30. Farr will preform around 6:30pm.
The city said they ask everyone to use caution during these hours as traffic will be heavily impacted. Fourth to Market Street will be closed, but there will be street parking available on 3rd, 5th and other areas of Market. The city said due to Farr’s popularity they expect a large crowd and recommend arriving early if you wish to see the Clydesdales and secure parking.
In accordance with the event there will be a higher security presence at the event to ensure the safety of all attendees and members of the band.
