Transitions Domestic Violence Shelter Holds Fundraiser At Zanesville Country Club

ZANESVILLE, Ohio. – Transitions is hosting their annual fundraiser March the twenty first, at the Zanesville Country Club from five to eight o’ clock at night.
Transitions is a domestic violence shelter that serves Muskingum, Morgan, and Perry County. Director of Transitions, Mitzi Shook says its hard to believe what some people go through. They currently are at full capacity in the shelter. Shook says hosting this fundraiser will go a long way for Transitions.
“We house victims of domestic violence and their families for 30, 60, or 90 day stays depending on the injuries when they arrive to us. We help them with resources and link them with agencies that are also there to help them,” said Shook.
Transitions sent out invitations for the fundraiser, and asks people to please RSVP before Tuesday the 19th. Tickets are twenty five dollars and can also be bought at the door. There will be all kinds of events for people to take part in from auctions to guest speakers. There will be some food along with soft drinks at the event.
“We have a live auction. We have a Chinese auction. Matt Lutz has graciously said that he will be our auctioneer which we always have a really good time with Matt. The community has been very, very generous with their donations. We have some very nice things that will be up for auction.”
Shook says she is humbled by how much the community has helped them out, and she asks to please RSVP to 740 – 454 – 3213.
