Tri-Valley School Bus Driver Pleads Not-Guilty

The Tri-Valley school bus driver charged in connection with a fatal accident says she is not-guilty.

47-year-old Carol Oler of Dresden appeared in Muskingum County Court Friday. She is charged with misdemeanor counts of vehicular homicide, vehicular manslaughter and failure to control in the death of 6-year-old Kasey King. Oler pled not guilty to all the charges against her.

"The court now will set the matter for trial. I expect it to be set within the next few months," says Muskingum County Prosecutor, Mike Haddox.

Haddox says the most serious charge is that of vehicular homicide which carries a maximum penalty of six months in local prison and a $1,000 fine. The accident happened on State Route 60 North on June 2, 2010.
