Tricks You’ll Dig

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Muskingum County Library System has kicked off their annual Summer Reading Program and will be hosting an event that aims to inspire readers of all ages.
MCLS Youth Service Manager Katie Merritt announced the arrival of The Professor Show, a performance that juggles a little bit of education with a whole lot of entertainment.
“Yeah, so next week starts off one of our big performers,” Merritt said. “We’ll try to have one every week… either here at main or one of our branches. So next week we have Professor Brian coming. He is a magician, a juggler, he tells jokes, he has a lot of cool tricks. And he will be here at main at 10:30 on Monday. And then he will be at Dresden at 1:30 and then Duncan Falls at 5 o’clock.”
The show is titled ‘Tricks You Can Dig’ and fits into the Summer Reading Program’s overall theme of ‘Unearth a Story.’
“Summer Reading is… it is ‘Unearth a Story,’” Merritt said. “So we’re trying to do anything to do with dinosaurs of course, archaeology, paleontology. And what Professor Brian is doing is his tricks in his show ties into our theme. So it’ll have something to do with either dinosaurs, paleontology, just undigging things, dirt in general. So it’s going to be an exciting time.”
